83 year old supermodel—an oxymoron? I don’t think so!
We have often heard that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Then behold 83 year old supermodel, Carmen Dell’Orefice who grayced the cover of the spring 2015 edition of NEW YOU-The Voice of Health and Beauty magazine. Beautiful is really not enough to describe her on this cover; I must add phenomenal and awesome! She is quoted as saying “I have had more magazine covers in the last 25 years than I have had in my whole elongated career, today I am in a territory that business considers unmarketable: age and white hair. Slowly, however, I started to own that territory little by little because I stood up for age.”

Now that is a concept that needs to be explored; models with gray hair!

Cynthia J. Maddox

Cynthia Maddox grew up in Galveston, TX and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. She has been employed as a Substance Abuse Counselor, Career Counselor, and Professional Development Facilitator. She currently works as a Case Manager for students at-risk of dropping out of school.
